Staff Training and Development Procedure

Playaway values its staff highly. We accept that it is in the interests of the children and all the staff that every opportunity be given to each staff member to develop their personal skills to their maximum, and to broaden their knowledge and skills in caring for children in particular.

To facilitate this we:

• Assess every member of staff at least once every year and set out their own personal training plan.

• Hold regular staff meetings.

• Encourage where practical staff to attend external training courses.

• Encourage staff to pass on their knowledge to those less experienced.
