Staffing

Julia leads a team at Playaway and is the owner/manager.  

Julia trained at Norland Nursery Training College, graduating with an NNEB, RSH and Norland Diploma.  She is also a qualified assessor and internal verifier in Early Years Care & Education and has a Early Years Foundation Degree. She has a BA Hons degree (First) in Early Years Care and Education and has gained Early Years Professional Status.

There are twelve members of staff who have the required qualifications and experience to a minimum of level 3.  Staff are always encouraged to additionally train and to follow current changes in childcare and development.

In the event of staff training, holidays or illness, we will have additional staff who work on a supply basis, all of whom will be qualified or experienced in childcare and will have undergone appropriate checks through the Criminal Records Bureau in accordance with Ofsted regulations

We try to support our local community by providing work experience placements for college students studying for childcare qualifications. We also provide work experience opportunities for pupils at King Alfred School every year. All students remain supervised by staff at all times.
